RN DiPHCE, BSc Honour, Diabetes Dip, Independent & Supplementary Nurse Prescribing. Sister McLaren qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2000 and has been with the Lennox practice since 2008.
RGN. Sister Halliday qualified in 1998 and joined the Lennox practice 2011. She has a special interest in Family Planning / nexplanon
The Practice Nurse work includes:
Monitoring of chronic diseases such as Coronary Heart Disease, Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Hypertension, Cervical smears, contraception advice, lifestyle advice, weight management, injections, travel health promotion and vaccinations.
My core duties are taking bloods, B12 injections, New Patient Medicals and Flu / Pneumo vaccinations.
Our healthcare assistant has ongoing training from our practice nurses and gained her Health Care Support Worker Certificate at Glasgow Caledonian University in 2008. Marie is available for bloods and blood pressure Monday to Thursday.

Primary Care Pharmacist
The pharmacy team liaise between Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board and the partners on prescribing issues. They also carry out reviews of patients repeat medication and provide a support service to the practice in relation to medication.
The practice works closely with the district nursing team who give nursing care to patients in their homes, particularly frail and elderly patients.
